Meet Dr. Goodsell

Dr. Goodsell has wanted to be a veterinarian as far back as she can remember. Dr. Goodsell attended MSU where she studied Zoology and received early acceptance into MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation in 2006, Dr. Goodsell returned to her hometown in Metro Detroit where she practiced general medicine and shelter medicine.

Dr. Goodsell believes one of the most important ways she can honor the human-animal bond is through compassionate end-of-life care for companion pets and their families. She found that her work in mobile end-of-life care was very rewarding, and the families she helped were so grateful for the service that she began working full-time in the field. Dr. Goodsell is honored and humbled to now offer mobile services to families in the Grand Haven, MI area.

“Dr. Goodsell helped us by doing a phone consult to finally decide it was time to say goodbye to our sweet Aurora, aka roar Kitter aka the roar. She sent us resources for the kids to help them through this hard time and she referred us to a local veterinarian that could do in-home euthanasia. It really was a beautiful way to say goodbye. Dr. Goodsell helped guide us through a most difficult time. Thank you for helping us find someone and for the resources you shared. 😽  I highly recommend her services.”
